As a sophomore in high school, every student was required to create a capstone project based on their passions. With one of my friends, we created an app called STEAM Squad to help girls ages 5-10 get interested in STEAM, Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math. While my partner focused on the business side of getting us scholarships as well as participating in pitch competitions, I coded the app using Swift and did the user experience design using Swift UI. The app includes hands-on activities and learning opportunities for the girls as well that we created and tested with kids from our elementary school. This was my first experience with coding and I am proud to say this app is available in the app store!
